Publish articles to your website
Articles can go straight to your own website. You connect the site once, then publish any article to it with one button.
Pick the kind of site you have
| Your site | Choose | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | WordPress | Brainpercent publishes straight to your site, as a draft or live. |
| A custom-built site | Send to your site | Brainpercent sends each article to an address on your site, signed so you know it is us. |
| A custom-built site that reads a feed | Site feed | Your site reads your published articles from a private feed. |
Not sure? If your site runs on WordPress, choose WordPress. For any other site, your web developer or an AI coding assistant picks one of the other two. Brainpercent gives you the steps to hand over.
Connect WordPress
- In WordPress, create an application passwordOpen Users, then Profile, then Application Passwords. Create one named Brainpercent and copy it. This is not your normal password, and you can delete it any time.
- In Brainpercent, open Connections and find WebsitesChoose Add website, then WordPress.
- Fill in the formSite address, Username and Application password. The Article address on your site is optional. It lets Brainpercent show where each article is live. A name is optional too.
- Choose Connect websiteThe site shows Connected. If it takes too long, you are asked to try again.
Connect a custom-built site
Send to your site
- Get the site ready to receive articlesIf your site cannot do this yet, choose Copy setup steps and paste them into your AI coding assistant, for example Claude or ChatGPT. It adds a blog to your site that shows the articles you publish here.
- Choose Add website, then Send to your siteEnter the Address on your site that receives articles and, if you like, the article address with a spot for the article name, such as example.com/blog/ followed by the slug.
- Save your signing secretIt is shown once. Save it now in your site settings under the name the screen gives you. Never paste it into a chat. If you lose it, choose New secret, and the old one stops working.
- Choose Send test eventYou should see Test delivered. If not, the line under the site says what went wrong.
Site feed
Choose Site feed instead and Brainpercent gives you a site key, also shown once. Your site uses the key to read the articles you publish. New key replaces it.
Publish an article
- Open the articleFind it in your Library or in the Marketer.
- Choose PublishIf you have more than one site, the screen asks Where should it go? and shows each one as Live, Draft or Needs reconnecting.
- ConfirmThe card says it goes live on your site now. On WordPress you can choose Save as a draft instead, so you can read it on your site first.
- Live on your site. The article shows Live and a link, and View opens the page.
- Update. After you edit an article, choose Update and the live page is replaced with the new version.
- Unpublish. Takes the page offline. The article stays in Brainpercent and you can publish it again.
- Failed. The article shows the reason and a Retry button. Nothing is lost.
Autopilots can publish to your site on their own. Autopilots. Each article is checked first. Ones that fail the checks wait for you instead of going out.
