The post editor

Every post opens in an editor where you can change the words, the picture or the video, then publish it or schedule it.

Open a post

  • Right after you make it. Choose Open post on the card in the Marketer.
  • From the calendar. Click a post in Schedule and choose Open post or Edit post.
  • From your media. Open Media in the sidebar and choose Open on any post.

What you can change

  • Channel. A post has one version per channel. Switch channels to edit each one. Each caption is written for its own channel, so a LinkedIn caption and an X caption differ.
  • The caption. Type over it. The box reads Write the caption for the channel you are on.
  • Picture actions. Recreate the picture, or turn it into a short video. In the full-size picture view you can also download it.
  • Video actions. To make a clip from a picture, you review the picture, the motion and the price before you approve. The screen says how many seconds you are billed for.
  • First comment. On channels that support it, switch First comment on to post a comment right after the post.
  • Preview. Shows the post the way the channel will show it.
  • Source. Shows the page or file the post was made from.
  • Status. Draft, Scheduled, Publishing, Published or Needs attention.

Help with the words

Select a few words and ask for a rewrite of just that part. This is Rewrite selection and it costs 0.1 credits. Fact-check claims checks the claims in the caption against the source and fixes what it can, for 0.75 credits. You see the price and approve it first. Typing your own edits is always free.

Publish or schedule

  1. Choose Publish to send it nowThe button says Publish to and the channel name. A line under it reads Publishes now to, then your account name. If you have more than one account on that channel, choose Choose the account first.
  2. Or choose SchedulePick a date and time, or use Tomorrow 9am or Tonight 6pm. The post goes on the calendar.
  3. For many channels at once, use Publish to all or Schedule allOne time for every channel.
